PRAYER CHAIN HELP
If I asked you to pray for me, would you? That is all a prayer chain is. People, you and me, praying for other people. There are no meetings, no paperwork, no-one checking up on you, just a personal commitment to pray for whoever needs it. The list of participants is on the door on the back of the Church, we just need your name and mobile number; then from time to time you will be asked to pray for someone, or a situation. You probably won’t even know the person BUT God does. Please help this Church fulfil part of it’s God given duty. Thank you. |
FOOD BANK
Every week the Food Bank help feed local people in crisis. By purchasing one or more items on this list and donating them you can be part of the solution. The collection point is in the Vestibule and the food is taken on a regular basis. If you are unsure please ask a steward. Items needed: Milk (UHT or powdered), Sugar, Tea Bags, Coffee, Fruit Juice (carton), Soup (instant or tinned), Pasta Sauces, Sponge Pudding, Rice Pudding, Custard (tinned), Tomatoes, Vegetables, Potatoes (tinned), Cereal or Oats, Dried Pasta, Rice or Instant Noodles, Baked Beans or Kidney Beans, Tinned Mead or Tinned Fish, Biscuits or Snack Bars, Jams, Marmalades or Spreads, Tinned Fruit, Shower Gel, Shampoo, Shaving Foam, Toothpaste. Many Thanks. |
CHURCH TRADES DIRECTORY
If you needed a plumber, would you like to know that the person you employ is honest in both his work and his bill! In compiling a trades directory that is what we are trying to do. We would like names of tradesmen who can be trusted. That list will be available to anyone in the Church who wants it. If you know of any trades-person that can be included I will need the name, the trade, and the telephone number and/or e-mail, and website details (if they have one). Please give the details to Carol Burnes or e-mail the details to Carol.Burnes@rocketmail.com. Thank you. |
EASTER EGGS
As Easter approaches we again think of all those less fortunate children. As before, we will be collecting Easter Eggs to be given out over the Easter period for these less fortunate children, and would be grateful to you for all your Easter Egg donations. Many thanks to all your kind generosity. |
CHURCH FLOWERS
If you would like to donate a bunch of flowers once a year in memory of a loved one, there are some spaces on the flower rota. I would be happy to include in the notices who the flowers are in memory of. The flowers never go to waste as they are always given out at the end of the service. Please see Carol Burnes if you would like to donate, or telephone 01536 711004. Thank you. |
LADIES BIBLE STUDY
The Ladies Bible Study takes place every Thursday (during term time), at the home of Carol Burnes from 2.00pm – 3.30pm. If you are interested, please contact Carol on 01536 711004. All are welcome, but please be aware that places are limited. Thank you. |
MEMBERS ADDRESS LIST DETAILS
If you have changed address, telephone number or e-mail since 2015, can you please inform one of the stewards as the Member’s Address List is being updated. Thank you. |
LIBRE CAFE
Running every week during term time between 8.30 am – 10.30 am, the Church is running a FREE cafe, serving our community with tea, coffee, squash and biscuits. All are welcome; adults, (young, and not-so-young), and children of all ages. The aim of the Cafe is to become a welcoming meeting place in our community.
